Marcel Du Plessis joined Auria in 2025 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing warmth, wisdom, and over 15 years of financial leadership to the team.

A Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) since 2009, Marcel’s career has bridged listed and private sectors, with a passion for strategic growth and purpose-driven finance. Prior to Auria, Marcel led the finance team at Improvon Group, where his deep expertise in real estate finance helped shape a thriving property fund. Committed to lifelong learning, he is currently pursuing an MSc in Real Estate Investment and Finance at Henley Business School in the UK. Beyond the numbers, Marcel is an avid golfer, padel enthusiast, and adventurous traveller – always planning his next destination.
