In 2018, Rui joined Auria Senior Living as General Manager of San Sereno, where his leadership transformed the community into an internationally award-winning senior living destination. His people-first approach and attention to detail set a new standard for senior-living hospitality. By 2021, Rui’s role expanded to Group Operations Manager, overseeing hospitality and operations across our Auria communities.

With a degree in Hospitality Management and over a decade of experience in managing 5-star hotels and luxury apartments, Rui thrives under pressure while maintaining a deep respect for people. “Everyone deserves to enjoy life to the fullest,” he says. “It’s about creating an environment where people feel valued and cared for and where we can not only share a laugh with residents, but also be depended upon to support them when needed”. Outside of work, Rui enjoys time at the karting racetrack with his son, and being a foodie, seeking out dining experiences with his wife.
